An Open Love Letter

THREE DAYS.

3.

Three days till we witness that this magic is all real. It’s human. It can BE. Our hard work, our dreams, our visions and hopes, alongside the doubts and frustrations and countless moments questioning whether any of this could actually happen. Whether it’s worth it.

This was a chain of messages to my partner in crime before their flight to Airdrie last night:

I don't want us to be burnt out, I want to this to grow year by year.

I want to enjoy the experience and breathe during each step.

It's all going to magic. I promise. I promise. I know it so deeply in my heart.

This is all so special. I am so grateful.

Our sincerity will permeate. The world is full of love.

I’m outside and taking sweet breaths and my heart feels full. I think we’ve pushed plenty. I feel ready, I’m ready to enjoy now and let everything happen. Can’t wait to take this peaceful walk with you tomorrow. Share with you my most sacred special ritual. These endless infinite skies.

This place restores. This home has always been the place the restored my energy and heals me. That’s my hope for what it brings us.

We have everything. We have everything that is essential. You, me, the land and music inside us.

***

If you want to cry again let’s cry together once you get here. Right now I can’t stop smiling. And skipping in the corn fields.

Everything is starting to turn golden and red and orange and pumpkin and it smells like the decomposition and possibility of time.

And today, they arrived. And it was all finally okay and real. There was so much laughter. So many derpy moments. So many tender heartwarming profound silences, walking, seeing, hearing, feeling the sun’s embrace. Joy. Marvel. Anything can be magic. Noticing of leaves and dandelions and trees and moon and hills and grass and colors and- well, just finally being here together and saying, “Wow, this is weird”. This is happening. We are here, and now all there is to do is to just let it happen. Let it all happen.

Duo Perdendosi

…a fresh perspective on the familiar

“The team is back together again, and in Airdrie!! We’ve had the most amazing day of meeting incredible people who are doing such incredible things in the community, and of course… rehearsing! For our first event! In 3 days! Here’s some behind the scenes footage of our first few rehearsals courtesy of Mama Wang! It’s not perfect yet, but hey, it doesn’t need to be yet, normalize making mistakes and having fun anyways 💕 We’re so happy to be playing together again, so excited to be here in Airdrie, and so thrilled that our residents begin arriving tomorrow! We’ll keep you posted and we will see you all next week!!”
