Day 4 - Cedar, East Lake, Atlas <3
Today was a whirlwind. 3 wildly different concert by our residents today - 3 completely different venues yet at their core, the same passionate hearts, the same welcoming, embracing, supportive communities. We had fun, we played with intensity, abandon, freedom, love, we expressed our vulnerability, intimacy, our honesty. Our pain and hurt and frustrations just as much as our bewilderment at the magic - the golden orange yellow fire colours of the lake, the wind, the leaves, the unstoppable burst of emotion and sobbing from exhaustion, frustration, exasperation. It was all too beautiful. It was unfair, it didn’t make sense, no one understood. It was so hard.
Yet… it did work. Our people, our very own residents and our very own Airdrie proves again and again we are so lucky. We are so blessed to have you. All your generosity and trust and embodiment of what we believe in. You get it. You are understanding, kind, compassionate, fierce, genuine, sweet, hilarious, feisty, warm, sincere.
