This event is a double billing featuring the oboe-piano duo, Fierbois, and Windwood’s founding violin-piano duo, DoSi (formerly Duo Perdendosi) to introduce audiences to this year’s Windwood Festival theme of “wanting to start again.” The contemporary classical concert will open with Fierbois, who will take you on a journey from Mozart to modern composers like Jocelyn Morlock and Harry Stafylakis, and features Oscar Peterson’s musical depiction of the Canadian landscapes including the Wheatlands that surround us. For the second half of the concert, DoSi will take you through rivers, fields of flowers, mountains, a world not here nor there, and back to the homes where we danced our first dance.
