  • The Windwood Music Festival is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Event Coordinator to join our team for our 2026 Festival in Airdrie. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about music, sustainability, and community engagement. As the Event Coordinator, you will play an important role in ensuring all events run smoothly during our two-week residency, where international artists come together to create innovative music performance projects in collaboration with the local community.     Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with festival directors and team to develop, plan, and execute Windwood Music Festival events. 

    • Coordinate event logistics, including site plans, event program, ticketing, insurance, creating detailed event schedules and plans for transportation, equipment, instruments, and catering.  

    • Provide on-site event management, including overseeing musicians, vendors, and technical support. 

    • Maintain effective communication between performers, admin team, venue, and volunteers.

    • Keep track of event expenses and assist with updating the budget. 

    • (Support PR team with marketing and promotional activities, including contacting news and press, coordinating physical promotional materials (posters, signage, and banners), and making social media campaigns and website updates)

    • Conduct post-event evaluation and provide feedback to improve future WMF events.

    Requirements:

    • Must be aged 15 to 30 at the start of employment, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and hold a valid Social Insurance Number.

    • Excellent project management skills, including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Passion for the arts and community engagement.

    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    • Background in the arts is a plus!

    • Experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in the music or arts industry.

    Rate and hours: $20 per hour: 35 hours per week for 8 weeks during a period between April–August 29.

As a Social Media Intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping our online presence, engaging with our audience, and promoting our festival across various social media platforms.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and curate engaging content for Windwood Music Festival's social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

    • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive ticket sales, and foster community engagement.

    • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities for interaction.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.

    • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers in a timely and professional manner.

    • Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance, insights, and recommendations for improvement.

    • Live streaming materials and creating content during the festival weeks.

    • Organize and archive materials on social media channels after the festival.

    We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our team and drive our sponsorship initiatives.

    As a Fundraiser at Windwood Music Festival, you will manage the fund development and sponsorship process, from identifying potential sponsors to executing and maintaining sponsorship agreements. You will act as the primary liaison between our organization and sponsors, ensuring that both parties’ objectives are met and fostering long-term relationships.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sponsorship Identification & Research:

      • Conduct thorough research to identify potential sponsors that align with the organization’s goals and values.

      • Develop and maintain a database of prospective sponsors and track engagement efforts.

    • Proposal Development:

      • Craft compelling and tailored sponsorship proposals that address the needs and interests of each potential sponsor.

      • Present proposals and negotiate terms to secure sponsorship deals.

    • Relationship Management:

      • Build and nurture strong relationships with sponsors to ensure their satisfaction and long-term engagement.

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

    • Sponsorship Execution:

      • Oversee the execution of sponsorship agreements, ensuring that all promises and deliverables are met.

    • Monitoring & Reporting:

      • Track and report on the success of sponsorship programs and initiatives.

    Qualifications:

This includes budgeting, financial reporting, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial policies and state/federal requirements. The Treasurer works closely with the Executive Director and the board to maintain financial transparency and support strategic decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Financial management and oversight.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization.

    • Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and account balances.

    • Prepare financial reports.

    • Lead the creation of the annual operating budget in collaboration with staff and board members.

    • Manage organizational bank accounts and online financial systems.

    • Approve payments, reimbursements, and financial disbursements according to policy.

    • Oversee donation tracking and acknowledgement processes.

    • Provide financial guidance during planning for events, grants, fundraising, and long-term strategy.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or nonprofit financial management (professional or volunteer).

    • Familiarity with basic accounting platforms (excel)
