Windwood Music Festival is a community-focused nonprofit dedicated to celebrating music, supporting local artists, and enriching the cultural life of our region. Our annual festival brings together performers, audiences, and partners to create inspiring musical experiences accessible to all. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasurer to join our team and help steward the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
Position Summary
The Treasurer is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial management of the Windwood Music Festival. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial policies and state/federal requirements. The Treasurer works closely with the Executive Director and the board to maintain financial transparency and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial management and oversight.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization.
Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and account balances.
Prepare financial reports.
Lead the creation of the annual operating budget in collaboration with staff and board members.
Manage organizational bank accounts and online financial systems.
Approve payments, reimbursements, and financial disbursements according to policy.
Oversee donation tracking and acknowledgement processes.
Provide financial guidance during planning for events, grants, fundraising, and long-term strategy.
Qualifications:
Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or nonprofit financial management (professional or volunteer).
Familiarity with basic accounting platforms (excel)
Understanding of nonprofit finance.
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and integrity.

Since its inception, the festival has grown into a beloved summer tradition, drawing crowds of music enthusiasts and fostering a vibrant cultural experience.
The Windwood Music Festival aims to provide a space for artists to explore and implement creative projects that help bridge the gap between communities and classical and contemporary music. Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as Executive Director. The Executive Director will work closely with the co-founders during the 2026 festival season from May to August, with a transition to part-time responsibilities from September to May and full-time responsibilities from June to July in subsequent years.
Responsibilities:
Shadow current co-founders to gain insight and experience into festival operations and management.
Collaborate with artistic directors to curate and program summer festival line up.
Oversee Event Coordinator, Marketing Director, Logistical Director, and Treasurer to ensure smooth execution of festival logistics.
Support Creative Residency Director on resident artist projects
Communicate effectively with collaborators, partners, and volunteers to foster strong relationships and ensure successful collaboration.
Oversee budget and seek out annual funding opportunities to support festival operations and growth.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in event management, preferably within the music or arts industry.
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Budget management experience and ability to seek out funding opportunities.
Passion for music, arts, and community engagement.
