The Windwood Music Festival presents “Mountain Meditations: An Afternoon of Chamber Music” at St. George in the Pines. Featuring internationally renowned musicians, this afternoon event provides a space for audiences to meditate on the natural beauty of Banff through classical music. Feel the lushness of the forests and the flow of water through Anton Arensky’s piano trio, fall into a meditative trance listening Petris Vasks’s String Quartet, feel the majesty of trees in Pauline Oliveros’ Tree/peace, feel the beauty of movement in Rebecca Clark’s Dumka, and feel the grandeur of life in Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet. This event celebrates the awe of nature through classical music in a meditative atmosphere where audiences are invited to reflect and share in moments of introspection. Suggested donation: $15.
